I am a nomadic artist born in the USA, with Canadian parents and British children. I am a visual artist of over 10 years worth of experience. On top of this I recently became a published author, so I understand the challenges and unique experience of the independent-author community.I currently live in the warm and beautiful Sonoran Desert, with my beloved family and furbabies.

How the Process Works

I am happy to work with any authors regardless of first time or established in the industry!

2. We Discuss Your Vision

We can do this either through video call or email.

If you choose video:1. We go through your book, plot, characters, themes, and environment.
2. Your ideas for cover (if you have any).
3. Principles of Cover Design
4. Brainstorm session and screen share
5. Any questions you have
6. At the end of the call I can send you the final version of the "rough draft" we created while talking.If you choose email the same principles apply of back and forth questions until your vision is actualized. Once I have the "initial rough draft" idea brainstormed with your input we then proceed to the final.

3. Second Draft

After the first draft is complete, I will continue to work on the book cover until about 80% complete. Then I will send it back to you for approval. At this stage you can request minor changes to the design.

4. Final Draft

I will send a Watermarked image of the final picture for your approval. Once you approve the final image and invoice is paid in full you will receive the unwatermarked version along with any other items you purchased with the cover. (Such as logo design, profile pictures, raw psd files, Vella/Radish/Audiobook covers, teaser reveals, cropped media for sharing etc.) I am also happy to work out a payment plan.If you don't have your print planned yet for your book with the first cover that is fine too. I am able to provide a document if needed.

Promotion on my discord / insta / FB communitiesMy Book covers start as a thumbnail, then a rough sketch, then painting. I use 3d objects and maybe some of the photos you have sent me to create a mock up. We do this over the skype call or via email. I am happy to do either.

TOS:SECTION I. IMAGE COPYRIGHTI, the artist, retain full and exclusive rights to the original artwork. The client may not claim it as their own or use it for anything other than personal use.
All commissioned artwork is for noncommercial purpose only, unless contracted otherwise.Redistribution of my artwork for use in printed merchandise or as promotion of goods, services or social media pages is prohibited. If you have any questions about this, ask me before commissioning me.Buying Commercial Rights:
This is a separate fee that is discussed on a case by case basis depending on the full discretion of the artist. Agreeing to purchase commercial rights does not limit the artists right to post artwork in portfolio, exception of a Non-disclosure agreement, or temporary non-disclosure agreement. All Author client's agree to post links inside their books to the artist, if the image is for a book cover, comic book, or children's book illustration.For book covers with Photo Manipulations using real life photos of humans, a commercial license is good for 500,000 print copies before needing to remake your cover based on Deposit Photo's TOS. If using own photos, a photographer's written permission, and model's release forms will also be needed.For logos and company branding enquire either by mail or DM.Conditions for Reposting
The client has my permission to repost the artwork wherever they would like, as long as proper credit is given (a link back to my website page) and my watermark/signature remains intact and unaltered.
Prohibited Actions
Altering my artwork in any way without asking for permission before hand, with the exception of cropping/resizing the image for an icon or other use.
Use my artwork as references for your own, whether tracing or re-purposing parts of the image and claiming the artwork as your own.
If these terms are broken, you will be privately blacklisted from commissioning me and reported to all my social media feeds, as well as reported to the better business bureau if you are a business and the Copyright commissioners office.Source images will never be given for any product except logo and company branding when copyright has been purchased.SECTION II. PAYMENT INFORMATIONAll USD payments will be taken via Paypal invoice after signing a contract via Blue Ink / Docusign.A non-refundable 45 minute consultation fee is required before the artwork is started. ($30.00 USD as of July 1, 2022) This is for the mock up and drawing session via zoom or discord where I share my screen and we discuss your vision.After agreement of terms, and signing of contracts, you will be given 24 hours to pay the 50% the total project. Non-payment within 24 hours will result in the commission being cancelled.It is the commissioner's responsibility to tell me when the payment has been sent. Sometimes a payment will come through and I won't know about it. If you fail to tell me that you've sent the payment within 24 hours - and I know I absolutely haven't received the payment - then the 24 hour payment term applies to you.The rest will be done at completion and until then you will not receive high quality digital image or unmarked digital image until the other 50% is made.Any add-on expenses need to be settled before release of art as well such as extra revisions, commercial rights, back covers, spines, print on demand options, packages, logos, assets, cover reveal images etc.Refund Policy
If the commission is cancelled (by me or the client) before work has started, then the client will receive a full refund of the 40% deposit, not including the consultation fee.If the client cancels the commission during progress, the amount refunded will be on a case-by-case basis and up to the artist’s discretion.No refunds will be given for completed or nearly completed [85%] commissions. This is when the client has agreed to the final image and only small changes are allowed at this point. (text and minor details.)The artist reserves the right to cancel a commission at anytime, for any reason, and without explanation.If I cancel the commission due to my inability to complete it at any state, a full refund will be given.SECTION III. CONTACT AND COMMUNICATIONDiscussion of commissions can be conducted via email discord or phone only.I work within a a variable schedule due to long term disability and therefore will work out a live stream, and communications dependent on each person. Weekends are my personal days and will not be responded to as priority unless I am making up for days where I was impacted during the work week. My work hours are between Monday through Friday 10am PST - to 7pm PST with no seasonal change of time since I am based in Arizona Time Zone.SECTION IV. WILL/WON'T DRAWBelow is a general guideline for what I will or will not draw.Allowed Content

Characters intended to be or appearing underage in any sexual or suggestive context.
Any sort of hateful content, such as racism, transphobia, homophobia, and characters with Nazi/Soviet imagery or paraphernalia.
You must be over the age of 18 to commission adult content and I will require proof of age.
I am a United States citizen and abide by United States laws. Breaking this rule is extremely serious and will result in blacklisting/blocking on all social media, email, and any other means of contact. By ordering anything 18+/NSFW you are agreeing that you are at or above the age of 18.SECTION V. WORKFLOW PROCESSI work best when given some artistic freedom to create an image based on the characters you provide. I am happy to match a scene or pose that you have in mind, but please allow and expect some variation.
Estimated date to completion. If there are any delays in completion of a commission, I will personally notify the customer.
Completion of most commissions are generally estimated to take no more than roughly 1 to 2 weeks.Works in Progress (WIPS). Certain commission types may or may not include a sketch approval stage. I will send any wips to the commissioner in a DM on discord or via email. Progress will be paused until the sketch is confirmed.Revisions and edits. If the commission type includes a sketch approval stage, any major changes or revisions must be made at this stage; this includes any significant changes to a character’s pose or body shape, or redrawing parts of the image.After the sketch has been approved, no major edits or changes will be made unless specifically agreed upon in the contract. If the commissioner requests additional edits after the approved sketch, a price for the edits will be discussed and no further work will progress until payment made via invoice on paypal.Extra changes for any work outside of what was originally commissioned is 25 per change.I reserve the right to refuse paid changes at the 80% complete mark and in the final rendering/detailing stage. (I.e. if you want me to create a different pose from scratch when I have rendered the entire illustration I will ask you to make a fresh application for a new job or refuse the work.)If you do not want me to post your commission online, you must tell me when you order. If you do not want video's of the work in a time-lapse, you must tell me when you order and it will be written in the contract. If you want to remain anonymous or not have your review written up on my website, you must specify in the order as well.I hold the rights to all my work. I do not give permission for anyone to use my artwork to create their own NFT of my work for commercial use, private use, or in any other way. I will report any theft of my art with NFT's through copyright bureau / DMCA and blacklist whoever does it or is associated with it.For any other terms of service not posted here please enquire by email or discord.
